It has been inhabited since the prehistoric age which fact is proved by numeral archeological findings. The best known monument of the village of a 2000 population is the Sándor-Metternich castle, the neoclassic block of the castle was built under the instructions of József Hild architect. The manorial stable-building which was the property of Count Móricz Sándor - he was called the "devilry- rider" - was built also in neoclassic style. Its catholic church was started to built in 1484, of which Gothic sacrament-niche makes the church very interesting.

Es ist seit Urzeiten bewohnter Ort, wie zahlreiche archäologische Ausgrabungen bezeugen. Die berühmteste historische Sehenswürdigkeit der Gemeinde mit 2000 Einwohnern ist das Sándor-Metternich-Schloß, dessen klassizistischer Block József Hild zu verdanken ist. Ebenso im klassizistischen Stil ist das herrschaftliche Stallgebäude des Grafen Móric Sándor, dem Teufelsreiter, erbaut. Mit dem Bau der katholischen Kirche wurde im Jahr 1484 begonnen, deren gothische Reliquienschrein ist besonders interessant.

Az õskortól lakott hely, amit számos régészeti ásatás bizonyít. A 2000 lelkes község legismertebb mûemléke a Sándor-Metternich kastély, mely klasszicista tömbjét Hild Józsefnek köszönheti. Ugyancsak klasszicista stílusú Sándor Móric gróf - az ördöglovas - uradalmi istállóépülete. Katolikus templomát 1484-ben kezdték építeni, gótikus szentségfülkéje külön érdekessé teszi.
