In the Arpadian age of the Hungarian history it was a royal estate with a fortress. The number of its inhabitants today is close to 1700. Its catholic church had been built in late Baroque style then at the turn of the century it was rebuilt in Eclectic style.

In der Zeit Árpáds war dieser Ort königlicher Besitz, einst stand auf dem sich heraushebenden Punkt eine Burg. Heute leben hier etwa 1700 Menschen. Historische Sehenswürdigkeit ist die katholische Kirche, die im Stil des Spätbarocks erbaut und um die Jahrhundertwende im eklektischen Stil umgebaut wurde.

Az Árpád-korban királyi birtok, kiemelkedõ pontján valamikor vár állott. Lélekszáma ma közel van az 1700-hoz. Mûemlékjellegû katolikus temploma késõbarokknak épült, a századfordulón eklektikus stílusban építették át.
