The traditions of the people living here are based on findings from the Bronze Age. It is first mentioned in a document from 1250. The village was destroyed during the Turkish invasion: today about 700 inhabitants live here. Some of its three-parted residential houses with wooden ridge built in popular style are still standing.

Funde aus der Bronzezeit sind die Basis der Traditionen der hier lebenden Menschen. Der Ort wird im Jahr 1250 unter dem Namen Ethem urkundlich erwähnt. Er wurde von den Türken zerstört und hat heute etwas weniger als 700 Einwohner. Einige dreiteilige, mit Brettergiebeln versehene volkstümliche Wohnhäuser stehen noch heute.

Bronzkori leletek alapozzák meg az itt élõk hagyományait. 1250-ben említi egy oklevél Ethem néven. A törökök elpusztították: ma valamivel 700 alatt van lakóinak száma. Néhány háromosztatú deszka-oromzatos nápi lakóháza ma is áll.
