It had been inhabited in the Roman times but later it was mentioned as a depopulated place. In the middle of the 18th century the Esterházy family settled Germans from Württemberg into the village. Even today the majority of the population is of German nationality.

More than 1700 inhabitants live in the village. Its history building the Baroque church originates from 1760. Its Calvary from the 18th century is also an ancient monument.

Dieser Ort war schon in der Römerzeit bewohnt, wird aber später als Pusta erwähnt. Die Esterházys siedelten in der Mitte des 18. Jahrhunderts württembergische Deutsche hier an. Auch heute ist die Mehrheit der Einwohner im Dorf deutscher Nationalität. Die Einwohnerzahl liegt über 1700.

In der Gemarkung breitet sich der den Sportfliegern bekannte Flugplatz aus. Die barocke Kirche stammt aus den Jahren um 1760, historischen Charakter hat auch das Kreuzwegdenkmal aus dem 18. Jahrhundert.

A rómaiak idején már lakták, késõbb pusztaként említik. Az Esterházyak württembergi németekkel telepítik be a 18. század közepén, a faluban ma is többségben vannak a német nemzetiségû lakosok. Lélekszáma 1700 fölött van.

Határában a sportrepülõk által ismert repülõtér terül el. Barokk mûemléktemploma az 1760-as évekbõl származik, 18. századi kálváriája mûemlék jellegû.
