It is a typical village of Bakony-foothills. For a centain period of time it belonged to the fortress of Csesznek. First it was the property of the Szapolyai family, then later - as well as the whole region - it got into the possession of the Esterházy family. The characteristic activity of the people living here were the animal - husbandry and the forest - work. Today about 1600 inhabitants live here.

Its catholic church with a Baroque fresco on its walls is a historic monument. The tomb of Imre Esterházy can be found in the crypt. The former castle-garden is today a nature conservation area, from among its beatiful trees the pine-group consisting of 24 tree is really remarkable.

Réde ist eine charakteristische Siedlung am Fuße des Bakonygebirges und gehörte eine Zeit lang zur Burg von Csesznek. Zuerst war es Besitz der Szapolyais, dann wurde es, wie fast die ganze Gegend, Besitz der Esterházys. Charakteristische Beschäftigung war die Viehzucht und die Waldarbeit. Heute leben hier etwa 1600 Menschen.

Ein historisches Denkmal ist die katholische Kirche, in der ein barockes Wandgemälde zu sehen ist. Das Grabmal von Imre Esterházy ist in der Krypta zu finden. Der Einstige Schloßgarten ist Heute ein Naturschutzgebiet. Unter den schönen Bäumen sticht besonders eine aus 24 Bäumen bestehende Tannengruppe hervor.

A Bakonyalja jellegzetes települése, egy ideig Csesznek várához tartozott. Elõbb a Szapolyaiaké, majd - mint szinte az egész környék - az Esterházyak birtokába kerül. Jellemzõ foglalkozásuk az állattenyésztés és az erdei munka volt: lélekszáma ma 1.600 körül van.

Katolikus temploma mûemlék jellegû, barokk falkép látható benne. Esterházy Imre síremléke az altemplomban található. Az egykori kastélykert ma természetvédelmi terület, szép faegyedei közül kiemelkedik egy 24 fát számláló fenyõcsoport.
